Visit National Portrait Gallery and American Art Museum with a spectacular drive by view
of the Cherry Blossoms.
The National Portrait Gallery, which opened to the public in 1968, holds more than 1600 portraits of U.S. presidents, over 5,000 glass-plate negatives from Matthew Brady, famed Civil War photographer, and cover artwork from over 2,000 Time magazine art covers.
The American Art Museum is home to one of the largest and most inclusive collections of American art in the world including works from John Copley, Georgia O’Keefe and Winslow Homer.
There will also be a beautiful drive-by view of the blooming Japanese Cherry Blossoms. (blooming not guaranteed!). Significant Walking Required. Lunch on your own.
