Senior Home Repair & Benefits Program

Senior Home Repair Program provides necessary repairs and accessibility modifications for eligible low income homeowners 62 and older and adults with disabilities.  Homeowners may qualify for a variety of repairs to maintain the safety of the home: 
•    roof 
•    gutter and downspout
•    chimney 
•    plumbing and electrical 
•    railing installation 
•    grab bars 
•    bathroom modifications
•    wheelchair ramps
•    smoke detectors
•    other handyman jobs

Senior Benefits Program provides home safety assessments and housing related referrals, advocacy, application completion, assistive devices, education for vulnerable seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Senior Benefits Coordination provides a broad range of additional housing-related support services to clients with needs beyond basic home repair. The program aims to address these needs in order to enable clients to remain in their homes safely and independently.  Services include:
•    Home safety assessment
•    Advocacy
•    Referrals
•    Occupational therapy evaluations and assistive devices
•    Benefits Evaluation, access to required documentation, and application completion
•    Education on housing-related safety and financial issues
•    Housing options counseling
•    Facilitation of funding assistance from government and private programs


Applicants are required to complete a qualification process. Once qualified, grants are awarded based upon financial criteria for home assessments, adaptations, maintenance and repairs.
